On our Tool Shed page (/resources) we ask for your email so we can send you the guide. There is also a box for The Garden Party, our newsletter. It starts unchecked. We use your email for this guide, plus The Garden Party if you tick the box. Submitting that form sends your email straight to HubSpot, the system we use to manage contacts and send email, because you asked for the guide. That submission is not website tracking, and the cookie banner does not hold it back. Garden Party signups elsewhere on the site go to HubSpot too.

RootCheck is a free check of your HubSpot account. Connecting needs a HubSpot Super Admin, or a user with App Marketplace access. The access is read-only on your HubSpot. It reads contacts, companies, deals, pipelines, and how those records are set up. If you allow it, it also reads the names and emails of record owners. It never changes, deletes, or emails anything in your HubSpot.

To show your report, we keep an encrypted connection key, your HubSpot account name, the email of the person who connected, and your results. Connecting also creates a sign-in for that email. If you buy a Deep Report, we also keep the records needed to build it. We may add the connecting person’s email and a score summary to our own HubSpot so we can follow up.

To draft the report wording, we send a summary of scores and findings to an outside writing service. A Deep Report summary can also include pipeline totals and owner names. Contact records are not included.

How long we keep RootCheck data: until you ask us to delete it. Disconnect stops new scans. It does not by itself delete stored results or the encrypted connection.

Our contact form asks for your name, email, and message. We store it in our own database with basic browser details and a coded version of your IP address to stop spam, and we get an email so we can reply. If you book a call, HubSpot handles the scheduling.

We use Google Analytics to see which pages people visit and what they click, like starting RootCheck or getting a guide. We use the X website tag to measure visits and signups that come from our ads. Both use cookies.

Those cookies stay off until you choose Accept on the cookie banner. Decline leaves them off. The server-side Google Analytics event for starting RootCheck also waits for Accept. Decline clears Google Analytics cookies already in the browser. You can change that choice later from Cookie settings in the footer. Accept and Decline are the same kind of button.

The type on this site is served from our own pages.

We also use a few cookies and browser storage to keep you signed in to RootCheck. Those are separate from the analytics and ads choice.

Marketing emails sent from HubSpot, including The Garden Party, include an unsubscribe link. Other emails do not. To opt out of those, reply to the email or write to oscar@blossomautomation.com. To see, fix, or delete what we hold about you, or to disconnect RootCheck, email oscar@blossomautomation.com. We reply within 30 days.

We don’t sell your personal information. We use service providers to run the site: a contact and email system, website hosting and a database, a transactional email service, a payment processor for the Deep Report, Google Analytics, the X website tag, and an outside writing service that drafts report wording from a summary of scores and findings, not from contact records. These providers handle data for us under their own terms.
